Throwback’s 2023 Summer Recap

This summer, Throwback brought the field day magic to thousands of colleagues and friends, hosting over 50 field day events in 16 cities across the U.S.  To celebrate this record-breaking season of fun and games, we’re highlighting some of our favorite summer “firsts.”

We started summer with a splash!  Competitors beat the heat (and the clock!) with action-packed rounds of “Sponge Relay” in the first water game of the season.

We added more exciting challenges to our lineup of Throwback classics!

First play alert!  Teams hustled to scoop up brainteaser cones in “Fishing For A Chain Reaction,” took aim in “Catapult,” and decoded some of our trickiest riddles in “Rebus Race.”

Throwback joined in the last fling before the ring with bachelorette parties and our first-ever bachelor party! Team bride came dressed up and ready for a morning full of competition in the Hamptons. In Phoenix, team groom got a heaping dose of nostalgia with some Throwback favorites.

Our clients brought the team spirit like never before! Ouai went all out with their festive summer camp theme and Revivn was ready to represent.

Huda Beauty brought out the cheer squad.

Dallas, Phoenix, Indianapolis, Baltimore, Denver, and Washington, D.C. put Throwback on the map! Victory Field was the perfect backdrop for our first visit to Indianapolis and our first time playing on a professional baseball diamond.

Out in Los Angeles, the employees of Calm, chose a breathtaking backdrop overlooking the Pacific Ocean for their Throwback team build.

Meanwhile, Netflix volunteered one of its Hollywood studios for Throwback to host their Office Olympics. In another first, Netflix competitors dressed in inflatable bird costumes in our egg-and-spoon race finale.

While summer may be over, there’s plenty of 2023 left for more Throwback fun, whether indoors or out!
